I spotted 2 flavors are my regular grocery store. I wanted to try pumpkin spice but my store didn’t have that one so I went with my second choice, Silk Almond Nog.

I also made money buying it. BzzAgent sent me a coupon to redeem one for free. I checked my Ibotta app and there was a $.75 rebate. Score!

Silk Nog Ibotta

I wanted to make brownies ( with brownies mix & a can of pumpkin) and thought the Silk Almond Nog would be a nice combo.

SilkNogBrownies1

It was flavorful but I do wish it was thicker. I’m not sure if that is possible because its free of egg & dairy help make it thick.  The flavor was great but the consistency for me was lacking. My friend enjoyed it though. So what will I do with the rest?

Silk Nog Smoothie

I made an apple smoothie one morning. I used 1 gala apple, 1 frozen banana, Silk Almond Nog, cinnamon, all spice. Blend it up and pout into a glass. Yummy!

With the remaining Nog , I added it to make my oatmeal. Oatmeal while healthy can be bland and the Silk Almond Nog helped add flavor to it to make it enjoyable. I mixed in all spice, sprinkled a little cinnamon, topped with a banana, chia seeds, & almond butter.

Overall it was ok, while flavor was good it was lacking on consistency. When I think nog , I want something a little more indulging & thicker. I do think it is a good option for those who can’t have dairy or don’t have dairy.

Do you drink nog during the holiday season?

Tame your mane with Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist

Aussie 3 minute miracle

Moisten, smooth, strengthen,& shine your locks with Aussie 3 minute miracle – moist.
This is a deep conditioning treatment to fix damaged and/or dry hair. Whether your hair has been impacted by weather, lifestyle changes, heating tools, or hair dye; Aussie is here to help. The best part is it only takes 3 minutes.

With aloe & jojoba seed oil it helps nourish your hair leaving it silky, soft, & manageable.

The one thing I love about Aussie products is they always smell great.

Instead of regular conditioner bottle it doesn’t have a cap , you just squeeze it out. The consistency is a little thicker.

It retails $3-4 depending where you shop

I was wondering ho this would work on my hair since I have so much and its thick. What I did was shampoo my hair & rinse , then put the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist deep conditioner on my hair from from mid shaft to the ends. Then I shave, wash, ect so Im not sitting there waiting for 3 minutes. Rinse , and you’re all set.

When you put it on your hair it already starts to feel soft, then as you are rinsing it feels so smooth.

Once your hair is dry your hair will feel & look great. It will be soft, no frizz , smooth. It doesn’t weigh your hair down & it leaves your hair smelling good.

I’m looking forward using this especially in the upcoming months when its humid to see how it helps my hair with frizz.

It’s definitely a product worth trying.

Peach and oatmeal smoothie #SilkCashew #GotitFree

I love my oatmeal peanut butter smoothies and decided to try something with oatmeal & peaches.

I used:
Silk Cashewmilk
Oatmeal
Banana
Frozen peaches
Honey

I blended it together and realized it needed something more. Needed to be a little more sweet & flavorful.
I then added a little sugar, vanilla protein powder, & vanilla extract

Then drizzled some honey over the top.

Perfect on this relaxing Sunday afternoon.

Silk Cashew Milk review #SilkCashew #GotItFree

I used to love dairy milk. I would have a big cold glass everday. I would have a mug in the freezer waiting to be filled up with milk for dinner. One day as I was pouring it , I thought why am I drinking this and found it gross. I stopped drinking it right away. Then non dairy milk started hitting shelves and I could enjoy eating cereal again and adding it to smoothies. Now I have to have dairy alternative milks because it regular dairy hurts my stomach.

I’m sure you’ve seen almondmilk, coconut milk, soy milk, rice milk on shelves but now Silk added something new to the mix, cashewmilk.

I love cashews so when I received an email to join this campaign to try & review it. I was in.
Personally I don’t care to drink it alone but its perfect for cooking, baking, cereal, & smoothies.

There are a few varieties to choose from : Original, Unsweetened, Vanilla, Chocolate

Right now my store has original, unsweetened & recently saw chocolate on my last trip. It figures when I went last time I went to get unsweetened because I was going to make dinner with it. Chocolate wouldn’t really go well with the dish but will try it soon. I also want to find the vanilla.

So what did I make with Silk CashewMilk ?
I had it in cereal, made some yummy smoothies, mixed my protein powder in it.
This would also be great with oatmeal.
Silk Cashewmilk

Berry Smoothie- Frozen berries ( strawberry, blackberries, raspberries) , chia seeds, banana, & cashewmilk

Strawberry banana Smoothie- Fresh strawberries, banana, chia seeds, cashewmilk

Peanut Butter Jelly Smoothie- Peanut Butter, oatmeal, honey, vanilla, fresh strawberries , & cashewmilk

Since I was making lots of smoothies with it or had it in my cereal, I wanted to make a meal.
I decided Mac n Cheese! Who doesn’t love Mac n Cheese ?

Cashewmilk Mac N Cheese

You can see the recipe here — > Scrumptious Mac N Cheese

Honestly I don’t know why we should eat boxed mac n cheese, when making your own is pretty easy. Sure its a little more effort but its worth it. Plus you can add some good stuff, like spinach & tomatoes. This mac n cheese is ooey, gooey yummyness.

I enjoyed being part of the Silk Cashewmilk campaign on BzzAgent. I don’t think I would buy the unsweetened just because I need more flavor & sweetness to it. I would buy it again when making mac n cheese or another dish that calls for unsweetened milk . I am going to look for the vanilla since that is what I like in my smoothies & cereal.

I received coupons to redeem for free Silk CashewMilk for testing & review purposes from BzzAgent. All opinions are my own.

Coppertone CLEARLYSheer – BzzAgent review

I was happy when BzzAgent sent me Coppertone CLEARLYSheer sunscreens to test out and stay protected from UVA /UVB rays.

Sunny Days 30 SPF
Beach & Pool 50 SPF

20140701-013309-5589669.jpg

I was sent a mist and lotion .

The lotion is good for everyday.
Mist good for beach and pool , it’s water resistant for up to 80 minutes.

PROS
•Both were light weight and absorbed nicely and fast .
•I also liked that they didn’t dry out my skin.I hate putting on sunscreen and it leaves skin dry.
•Didnt leave a residue and not greasy.
•No strong sunscreen smell. Sure the beach is ok but for normal every day activities I don’t want to smell like I bathed in sunscreen.

CLEARLYSheer for Sunny Days (30 SPF) is great for everyday use, especially on your face . It’s a moisturizing light weight formula that leaves your skin soft and smooth. The sunscreen also won’t clog pores or cause breakouts (was clinically tested on acne prone skin) .
Another plus is when you put make up on it won’t clump up. A few years ago I tried a sunscreen for your face but anytime I put foundation or concealer on the sunscreen made it clump up. So it wasn’t great to use for running around doing normal stuff but Coppertone passed the test.

CLEARLYSheer Beach & Pool
Water resistant up to 80 minutes
Absorbs really fast , leaves skin soft
Nice smell .

I wore it to the beach, park, a day trip to NYC from Central Park to Statue of Liberty.
