Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Weightless Face SPF

When I used to think of Hawaiian Tropic brand, I would think of products to help get you tan or after care products.  My mom would always use them and remember using the products in my teens as well.  So its nice to finally think of them as a brand that also has product to protect you from the sun.

Last year  I tried their Silk Hydration body SPF & this month I was able to try their NEW Silk Hydration weightless face SPF.

HawaiianTropicSPF

One of the things I love about Hawaiian Tropic is the scent. It doesn’t smell like sunscreen , it has a nice tropical scent that isn’t overpowering. The scent just puts me in a good mood. I hate smelling like sunscreen.

The bottle is small,  so its easy to throw in a purse or beach bag.  The pump makes it easy to get the perfect amount of lotion. Also less likely to have it leak in your bag.

I wish I received this before my extended vacation in Florida. It would have been perfect. The weather this week here in CT, was nice and we even had some hot weather ( almost in the 90’s)  I headed to the beach and put this SPF to the test.

Pros:

  • Easy to apply
  • smells great
  • Left skin soft & moisturized
  • Didn’t leave skin feel tight after drying/ applying
  • Light weight

Cons:

  • left my skin looking a greasy

HawaiianTropicFace

I was a little sad that it left my skin looking greasy because I didn’t have that issue with the Silk Hydration body SPF. I’ll still continue to use this when I go to the beach or maybe do any outdoor activities but it’s not an SPF I would wear daily.

What are your favorite Hawaiian Tropic products? or What is your favorite face SPF?

I received this product for free from Crowdtap for review purposes. All opinions are my own.
