#BeautyAttitudes with The Estee Edit

Estee Lauder built her empire by preaching “Beauty is an Attitude”

The brand  launched The Estee Edit this year to attract a younger base.

There are categories to shop in based on beauty attitudes

The Edgiest – which is high pigment high impact items

The Barest – sheer washes of color infused with skin-care benefits

Go Glow- products that give your skin a gorgeous glow

I was lucky enough to try 4 of their products. The first thing I noticed was the pretty white & cobalt blue with splatter packaging. It was also on the products themselves. I couldn’t wait to try them all. Here is what I tried ….

Flash Illuminator- Day Light

Retail $28

A complexion hybrid that pairs skincare & illumination.

IMG_2633

Day light is a rosy hue which I used as a blush and to add some color to my chest when  I wore shirts or dresses that showed off my chest. It provides a healthy glow provided by micro fine pearls in the formula. The formula is light weight, not sticky, & blends and applies nicely onto the skin.  There is also hyaluronic acid which is a moisture magnet for the skin. You can hydrate & illuminate at the same time. A little goes a goes a long way you can build up. Its a very pretty rose gold glow.

There are 5 shades to choose from:

-Spot Light: a pearly white that adds a soft-focus highlight
-Morning Light: for golden glowing highlights
-Sun Light: for a warm terracotta glow
-Day Light: a rosy hue that doubles as a cream blush
-Night Light: a bronzy glow that doubles as a shading cream

How can you use them ?

-Use Spotlight for the ultimate strobing.
-Use Morning Light for a gorgeous golden glow.
-Use Day Light as a cream blush or add on top of your favorite blush to create a rosy glow.
-Use Night Light for subtle shading and a bronzy glow.
-To get a natural-looking, all-over glow, mix with foundation or tinted moisturizer.
-For a subtle, dewy glow, mix a pump or two with your tinted moisturizer or foundation.
-For the ultimate glow, use brush, sponge or fingertips to highlight cheekbones, bridge of nose, brow bone, and Cupid’s bow.
-For strobing, apply with a brush and buff into skin.

Pore Vanishing Stick

Retail: $28

Find it at Sephora here

The Estee Edit Pore Vanishing Stick

This glide on stick helps blur the look of pores while minimizing oil shine. You can use this alone, as a primer, or on top of make up.

I’ve been using this under my makeup on my T-zone where I can get a little shine and also my nose where my pores are more noticeable. It really does great at blurring your pores making them look small. When you put foundation on top you have a natural flawless looking skin all in a swipe.

It’s easy to throw in your purse because of its smaller size. Perfect for touch ups.

Beam Team Hydrate + Glow

Retail: $42

Find it at Sephora here

Beam Team Hydrate + Glow Estee Edit

This is a 2-in-1 creme for a healthy JLo glow while also hydrating your skin. Look how pretty!

Estee Edit Hydrate + Glow

It has hyaluronic acid which helps moisturize & shimmering pearls that give that all over sun kissed glow. You can use this alone, under make up, mixed into your foundation, or over make up.

What is also cool about this is that under the cap is a shimmer highlighter.

The Barest Lipcolor- Rouge Nude

Retail: $22

Find it at Sephora here

estee edit lipcolor

A lipstick/lip balm hybrid with muru muru butter and real flower petal waxes for a baby-soft nude lip look.

For me this was the only ‘dud’ for me that I received, only because the color didn’t look great on me. It looked like I ate chocolate and didn’t wipe my lips. haha They have a pink petal color that I probably would have liked better.

The formula however was felt fantastic on my lips. It was creamy, hydrating , & went on so smooth.

Have you tried any of these products?
