The sun is shining , the weather is hot & I’m heading to the beach! Besides a bikini sun protection is on top of my list. Who wants to get burnt and the risks of premature aging or cancer. Sunscreen is essential!!
When I was 14, I moved to FL. Being a teenager excited to be in the Sunshine state , I wanted my pale New England skin to be tan . I didn’t put any sunscreen on. Not only did I get burned badly but got sun poisoning. It hurt so bad to wear a shirt & felt horrible, wind even hurt my skin. Ever since then I make sure to apply sunscreen. Remember sun rays are out even during gloomy days.
I’ve been using Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration lotion sunscreen with SPF 30 to keep me protected from UVA/UVB rays.
- UVA rays: These rays penetrate deep into the thickest layer of skin, the dermis. When your skin isn’t protected exposure can lead to premature skin aging & wrinkling.
- UVB rays: This burns the skin & play a key role in skin cancer.
Remember to apply 15 minutes before you leave the house into the sun so it has time to absorb into the skin.
You need to reapply every 80 minutes of swimming or sweating. ( or reapply every 1.5 hours to 2 hours otherwise)

If your heading out in the sun ,stay protected & moisturized with @hawaiiantropic silk hydration sunscreen. No strong sunscreen scent, light weight, absorbs quickly, & feels great on. You should limit the sun 10am- 2pm that is when rays are the strongest.
I was impressed with this sunscreen. Like all Hawaiian Tropic products, it smells great. It doesn’t have that sunscreen scent . It has papaya, mango, and other fruit extracts.
It felt lovely on my skin. It didn’t make my skin feel sticky, dry, greasy, or tight. It was light, breathable , & weightless which left my skin really soft.
This sunscreen has jumped to the top of my list because of how it doesn’t smell or feel like a sunscreen. It’s more of a lotion for the sun. The only thing I did notice is that it left marks on my white towel. The sunscreen has these orange ribbons throughout the sunscreen. I will have to pay attention next time I head to the beach and see if it was this sunscreen. So just be careful with white & light colored stuff.
Overall I am very happy & will purchase this in the future, which should be soon because I used half the bottle already.
