Priority Chef Dual Julienne & Vegetable Peeler Review

I was pretty excited to try out this dual peeler.
If you check out my blog you can see I love to cook . So I like when I can find kitchen tools that help me make dishes easier and give good results.

IMG_8015.JPG

I like when items have other uses because it cuts back on storage .

•This peeler is a little bigger and wider than a regular peeler.
•One side for peeling , flip it over and you have a julienne peeler.
•It’s sturdy , feels good in your hand, and looks professional.

I had a few sweet potatoes when it arrived , I had to test it out ASAP.
It cut perfectly , without breaking when peeling .
Just be careful because the blades are sharp. When I was using the julienne peeler I got my palm , no blood but a scratch.
So don’t go too fast when peeling.

I made sweet potato chips with my first peel test run.
1 sweet potato
Put into bowl
Drizzle a little bit of olive oil
Sprinkle onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, salt , pepper
Bake at a low temp I put mine at 250 and kept checking on them

They came out perfect.

Last week I posted my spinach &turkey ‘ravioli’ with squash
I wanted to make these long ago but never went out to look for the proper tool to make the zucchini strips for the ravioli.
Since the Priority Chef Dual Julienne and Vegetable Peeler is wider than a normal peeler, I decided to try it out.
The strips came perfect and so did my dish.

IMG_8031.JPG

I also made zucchini zoodles and carrot chips . Works great for both soft and hard vegetables. Also perfect for slicing cheese, perfect thickness.

I recommend this dual peeler to anyone who enjoys to cook .
Great for stir fry, making zucchini noodles, veggie or fruit chips, peeling and more.

•Tip : When cleaning the peeler sometimes the fibers from the vegetables are harder to remove with a sponge , so I use a toothbrush to remove it.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. The opinion expressed are my own.

New Arm & Hammer Clump & Seal Litter review

I was picked for another Smiley360 mission.

My kitties are pretty excited with their perks I’ve been getting lately. I wish Lexi was still here , she would have been good to test this litter out.

There are two kinds to choose from :

Multi cat

Fresh Home

This litter is specially formulated to give you a 7 day odor-free home.

So how does it do that?

7 featured that guarantee a 7 day odor-free home::

•Seals moisture activated micro granules form a tight seal around cat waste odor.

•Destroys Heavy duty eliminators plus Arm & Hammer baking soda destroy sealed in odors on contact.

•No Crumbly crumbs Plant derived particles help create rock solid clumps for easy scooping .

•Low dust Helps keep floors cleaner.

•Low Tracking Unique formula helps keep litter in the box instead on cats feet.

•Soft Touch

Made with fine micro particles , softer feel.

•7 day Guaranteed

Experience the confidence of a 7 day odor free home.

One of the things I like is that the main ingredients in the litter are derived from mineral and plant sources.

Also the box is recyclable (check with you recycling center)

So what did D-O-G , Gizmo , & myself think about this litter?

As you can see the litter is like sand.

It had a nice fresh scent , which made my bathroom ( where my litter box is) smell nice … Even after the cats used the litter box.

That surprised me, never had a litter make my bathroom smell nice. Lol

It was very easy to scoop up, it didn’t fall apart or get messy .

Also there was no dust as I poured it into the box or as the cats dug around. I hate pouring litter and you breath a bunch of dust because of a dust cloud from pouring.

I did a review for the litter genie recently and mentioned I changed from using litter to using shredded newspaper.

My lovely cat Gizmo has had issues with the litter box since I’ve had him as a kitten. Tried every litter and changed shapes and depths of litter boxes. Twelve years later I learned he prefers shredded newspaper. I think it’s because the litter hurts his paws or doesn’t like the way it feels.

So I filled one with the Arm & Hammer clump & seal and one with newspaper.

Well guess who went in the one with the litter? GIZMO! It must be because of the small sand like litter .

This litter is perfect for him too .. Well for me too because when he goes number 2 , wow does he stink! I think he is a bit embarrassed about it too.

So when he goes , it seals the odor in so I don’t have to smell it and he doesn’t have to be embarrassed about it.

D-O-G was so happy to have litter again. He likes to dig … And throw it all over the place lol. One of things I don’t miss about litter. I mean he flings it all over.

When I did get litter , I wouldn’t buy clumping litter . One of the reasons was it would get stuck in their paws tracking it all over and I didn’t like them trying to get it out and maybe ingesting some while getting it out between their paws .

This litter didn’t do that at all which is a plus for me.

As for the low tracking , it still ended up outside the box mainly from D-O-G when he digs. But when I was a sweeping Gizmo was in the box and as he stepped out, there was litter on his paws that he tracked out not that much though.

D-O-G, Gizmo , and myself recommend this litter.

Spinach & Turkey ‘Ravioli’ with yellow squash

I saw these awhile back on blogilates
and have been dying to make them. So I decided to finally make them .
I didn’t make them exactly like hers but same concept.

IMG_8032-2.JPG

Ingredients:
2 yellow squash
1lb ground turkey or chicken
8oz spinach
1/2 yellow onion , diced
Garlic
Parmesan cheese
Italian seasoning
Mozzarella cheese
Tomato sauce
Pepper

I received a Priority Chef dual Julienne & vegetable peeler to test and review . This dish was perfect to try it with. Look out for my review soon.

Filling:
Sauté onion until translucent
Add garlic
Add italian seasoning
Add turkey or chicken
I sprinkled a little bit of Parmesan cheese about 2tbsp , stir
Once halfway cooked, add spinach
I just placed it on top and left it for a few minutes , then stirred
Turn off burner
Added about a half cup of mozzarella cheese ,stir
Add to blender until preferred consistency

Assembling :
• First cut your squash into strips (with 2 squash I made about 12 ‘ravioli’)

IMG_8022-6.JPG

Next take 4 strips and lay them like this . Overlap them a little bit.

IMG_8023-1.JPG
• Add some filling forgot to take a photo , I was in the zone of folding them lol

•Then fold them up. Fold bottom pieces up first. Use a toothpick to make it stay together.

IMG_8024.JPG

Put on baking sheet , place in oven at 350F for about 10-15 minutes.

IMG_8026-0.JPG

Put on plate , top with your favorite sauce and enjoy! 🙂

Came out great, very filling.

How I earned $60 in Target gift cards for FREE

Yes that’s  right, FREE $60. Sure I had to put a little effort into getting them but it was fairly easy.

I received $50 from Skinny Cow Club Skinny . They are sold out of gift cards now but sign up now so you don’t miss out again. You get 500 points for signing up, then get points for watching their commercial, tweeting, liking their social media pages, uploading photos on instagram with their hash tag. Simple,  right?

Next I cashed out for 2 – $5 Target gift cards from Recyclebank. This site is great they no longer have the Target gift cards but have others like Jc Penny, Lowe’s, AMC and others. You can cash out for coupons, donate, etc   I like this site because you get points for recycling (if your area participates in the program) but you can learn about recycling on their site and earn points that way too.
