Herbal Essences, Hello Hydration Review

I didn’t even know Herbal Essences had body washes so was excited to try it out.

The first thing I did was open the bottle and to smell it. It smelled like coconuts .

It’s a blue gel .I wish it was a little thicker and lathered up more. I love when body washes are sudsy. Even though it didn’t lather the way I prefer it still left my skin clean and smelling great . I’m sure would be good for a bubble bath too.

As I was washing the coconut smell was very pleasant. It brought me back to being on the beach in Florida , soaking up the sun while drinking a cocktail listening to the waves crash. (Wish I was doing that now )

I put on some cocoa lotion and I can still smell the coconut. This combo is amazing (it’s also nice alone)
The scent definitely puts me in a better mood and more relaxed. The body wash didnt dry out my skin, which is one thing I look out for when choosing scented bodywashes.

I would recommend this body wash just for the lovely scents.

They are about $3 for a 11oz bottle

Other scents they have :
Body burst- citrus
Happy go lather -roses
Honey, I smell good -honey & apricot

The vegetarian dish that surprised me

My last meal I made from my Blue Apron box was the vegetarian dish
Roasted squash w/stewed white beans , gremolata & Brussel sprouts

So why was I surprised by this dish?
I don’t care for curry powder. Seems like many vegetarian dishes I have had , have too much curry powder in them. With this dish it was the perfect amount an the lemon really complimented it.

I don’t cook with butternut squash, mainly because it can be a pain. It is yummy though.

I haven’t eaten or cooked with Brussel sprouts in a long time. I think it’s because I was always forced to eat them as a kid , or at least until we got a dog . I have been wanting to cook with Brussel sprouts though. I had a slight obsession with kale chips , recently saw one with Brussel sprouts. I want try it !!

Overall I did enjoy my Blue Apron experience. I liked that I was able to cook dishes I normally wouldn’t make. I liked that they give you all the ingredients that are measured & labeled . I like that you can skip weeks and see what is on the menu for the week. For me personally , I don’t think the price is in my budget right now. It’s $60 for 3 meals for 2 people.

I don’t have an oven right now so had to skip the last step. I still sprinkled the bread crumbs just no baking
When I first saw the pasta I was like that’s enough for 2 ? It was….plus some. I made it for me and my friend we both had seconds and have enough for one more.

Make sure to keep the pasta water for the bechamel sauce. I had to use some because it became thick .

Ginger soy-glazed salmon with broccoli rabe & soba noodles

A friend sent me a free box to try from Blue Apron, and I received it today .

Blue Apron is a weekly service that send a you all the ingredients you need to make 3 meals for the week, all measured and packaged along with a recipe and directions on how to make your dish. You choose what you like chicken , vegetarian, pork , beef, fish, shellfish. If you won’t be around or don’t like what is on the menu you can skip that week.
It comes in a box with insulated liners and big gel packs to keep the food fresh and cold in case you are not home when it is delivered.
A serving is about 500-700 calories. No fancy cooking tools needed, and will he done in about 40 minutes.

I love it because you try new dishes that you probably wouldn’t think of making. The other good thing is all the food is already measured. All you do is chop, grate ,dice, cook, eat.

They say of you have fish it’s best to make those first so I made the
Ginger soy glazed salmon with broccoli rabe and soba noodles
Serving size 2 -625 calories per serving

It was fantastic!
I’ve never had soba noodles and I don’t really cook with broccoli rave.
I’ve had black bean garlic sauce but never cooked with it.
